Rubber Cheese launches new website for Holkham

Rubber Cheese, a leading web design agency for visitor attractions, has developed the new website for Holkham.

Holkham is a thriving 25,000-acre rural estate in north Norfolk, and home to the Earl and Countess of Leicester and their family. Whilst rich in history and a plethora of landscapes, Holkham is renowned for its progressive outlook and has a vision to be the UK’s most pioneering and sustainable rural estate.

The new intuitive website designed by Rubber Cheese delivers inspiring visitor journeys that encourage you to dwell longer and discover more. The creative and evocative design aims to deliver increased engagement and booking levels.

Integrating with the Merac booking system API, the new booking journey incorporates additional opportunities to increase visitor experience by introducing up-sells. Up-sells are showcased after the visitor has selected a date and time. This means the up-sell is highly relevant to the date of their visit, for example an event or activity that is taking place on the same day.

Coinciding with the location’s recent rebrand by The Click, Rubber Cheese has used emotive content to help website visitors establish a deeper emotional connection with the venue.

Kelly Molson, Managing Director at Rubber Cheese, commented:

Holkham’s new website seeks to make a deeper emotional connection with the audience, creating a real sense of place. Exciting and inspiring people to visit, and delivering a much improved booking journey to further enhance the visitor experience.”

Lucy Downing, Head of Marketing at Holkham, adds:

“Rubber Cheese stood out from the beginning – both in terms of their expertise in building intuitive websites for visitor attractions, and their inquisitive and friendly disposition. Not only have Rubber Cheese created a beautiful website for Holkham that more than meets the original brief, but they have also built a fully integrated and intuitive booking journey for visitors that is leaps and bounds ahead of what we had before.

The passion and commitment Kelly has for her business, team and customers is remarkable.  We’re excited to be at the beginning of what we envisage to be an enduring partnership – something that is incredibly important to us at Holkham.”
